Meeting/Event Information (Guests Welcome)

As the Holidays approach us, Dayton IFMA invites you to take an evening to enjoy fellowship at the 2011 December Social.

This year we will be gathering at The Dayton Art Museum, The Monen Room to socialize and enjoy dinner.  After dinner, we will have the opportunity to view "American Chronicles: The Art of Norman Rockwell".

The exhibit includes 42 original paintings and all of Norman Rockwell's 323 charming and heart-warming covers from the Saturday Evening Post.

You will get a chance to see how Rockwell worked-on display are the preliminary sketches, photographs, color studies and detailed drawings related to one of hid paintings.

Be sure to bring your camera:  You will have a chance to take pictures in front of a life-size Saturday Evening Post cover, and the props will be available for those who'd like to create their own Rockwell inspired scene.

Now, does that sound like an evening of fun or what?  Dinner and entertainment, all in one evening!

SUMMARY OF ACTIVITIES:       

               5:00PM - Social Time

                5:30PM - Dinner

                6:30PM - Rockwell Exhibit

                8:00PM - Museum Closes

COST: $15 per Person; limited to a Member and Guest (additional guests at $54.00 per person)

As in years past, we will be supporting Toys for Tots.  Please bring a new toy to be enjoyed by a young girl or boy.
